Excitement Mounts as iPhone 4s Release Date Nears

Disappointment spread throughout the world as news that iPhone 5’s launch date was delayed, but a pleasant surprise was when Apple announced the release of the new iPhone 4s, which is due for release on 14 October 2011 in the US and EU.

It was a flurry of excitement as people started pre-ordering the new iPhone 4s breaking records set by the iPhone 4 with the amount of handsets sold in one day. The iPhone 4 sold a staggering 600,000 units on the first day, but iPhone 4s beat that record with over 1 million sold on the first day of pre-orders.

Everyone is rushing to pre-order this new smartphone which looks identical to the iPhone 4, but with so many new features that it is no surprise everyone is lining up waiting for Friday.

The 8 mega-pixel camera offers facial detection and it can do videos in 1080P high definition, quite a difference from the 5 mega-pixel camera you get with the older iPhone 4.

The fact that you will be able to use the new iPhone 4s in over 200 countries may also have an impact on the increased pre-orders. This new smartphone will work on both GSM and CDMA networks, making it an ideal choice for business travellers.

Choose your new iPhone 4s in black or white, but you now get to also choose whether you want it as a 16GB, 32GB or 64GB. The retina display is the highest resolution phone screen offering improved graphics.

If you already have Apple TV, you will be able to stream photographs or video directly off your iPhone 4s onto your HDTV.

With so many features, it’s no surprise that people have been pre-ordering the new iPhone 4s from the minute order lines opened on 7 October. Available from top providers such as AT&T, Sprint and Verizon you can expect to pay between $54.99 and $169.99 depending on the bundle package you choose.
